At Karljan, technology flows through his veins and technical insight is in his genes. Since childhood, he has been tinkering with anything that has an engine, both electric and fuel engines. It forms the common thread in his working life. Even in his spare time, he can't resist. He restores youngtimer Volvos, the cars he grew up with.
Karljan is a very laid-back, approachable technician with a lot of experience in conveying knowledge and ideas to clients. He enjoys doing that. Searching together for the best solution. "Involving the customer in the process; how can it be smarter, better, faster, to achieve the best result together. That makes me happy."
His training period in the workshop meant a lot to him. And if he's unsure about something, he doesn't hesitate to ask his colleagues. "After all, we have one common goal: to relieve our customers," says Karljan. Solving the customer's problem, advising them, and doing just a little bit more, that's his motivation.
Karljan lives in Ermelo with his wife and two sons in an old house from 1913. There's plenty to do there too. He's incredibly proud of his wife and sons. You can tell he's a real family man and team player.
